CBCP NEWS SERVICE

The establishment of the CBCP News Service was approved by the Permanent Council during its regular meeting in November of 1997. For one reason or the other, it could not be operational then. On January 10, 2006, the same Permanent Council confirmed it operationalization.

Foremost in the objectives of CBCP News Service is the institution of an independent news organization that will be managed by Catholic journalists who are dedicated to providing accurate news that are written from a distinctively catholic perspective.   That perspective moves along the call of the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, for every media person to be the protagonist of truth and promoter of the peace that ensues.

Dissemination and Subscription

The news are disseminated free of charge through email and posted at the following websites: www.cbcpworld.com/cbcpnews, www.cbcponline.net, www.bukal.com. Those interested to subscribe may just click on the subscription form provided in this website. For sustainability, we will appreciate receiving donations from concerned individuals.  For want of online remittance system, donations may be temporarily mailed to CBCP,  470 Gen. Luna St., Intramuros, Manila, Philippines; payable to CBCP Communications Development Foundation Inc. or deposited at this bank account: Allied Bank, Intramuros, C/A No. 1941 00504 5.
