"Let the praise of the Church
rise to God the Father in the Holy Spirit for the gift of salvation in Christ
the Lord, both now and for evermore! In this Great Jubilee of the Year 2000 which "must ... be one unceasing hymn of praise to the Trinity, the Most High God" For all ages to bless the God and Father of our Lord Jesus, by the strength of his Spirit under the protection of Mary, the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our Mother, To recall the beginnings of our faith in Mindanao, We place you under the care and patronage of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary under her Cebuano title of "Ang Birhen sa Kasilak".
