Fiesta of St. Fabian, Pope and martyr was celebrated last 20 January 2004. A procession was held in the morning at 7:00. The images of the different patron saints of the different barangays were brought by the parishioners for the procession. A mass was celebrated after the procession. Rev. Fr. Frank Ungria was the main presider. Rev. Frs. Alfred Viernes and Oliver E. Mendoza concelebrated. Fr. Rene Mayugba presiding over the Confirmation rites.Frs. Ungria and Viernes are from San Fabian, Pangasinan.

The sacrament of confirmation was celebrated after the mass with Rev.Fr. Rene P. Mayugba, as the presider.

25 January 2004, Sunday. After the 6 AM mass, the newly constructed "votive candle offerings" was blessed. The whole structure was done upon the initiative of the Mother Butler's Guild. It was constructed outside the church, between the Our Lady of  Mt. Carmel chapel and the church. - top -

11 February 2004, Wednesday. Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The mass was celebrated in the early morning of Wednesday at the Grotto of the Parish Church, located at the back-side of the Parish Center. - top -

 

 

 

 

14 February 2004, Saturday. A BOS (Basic Orientation Seminar) of the BEC (Basic Ecclesial Community) was held at Baangay Cabaruan. The BOS is the first step in the formation of the BEC. It was given by the Parish BEC Coordinators, led  by Bros. Tony Supremido and Marcos Generao. -more-

Parish Renewal Experience (PREX) Weekend Formation program was held at the Parish Center on 5-7 March 2004, Friday-Sunday. There were 28 participants who belonged to the initial batch, aptly called PREX Class No. 1. It was given by REV. FR. FRANCISCO "FRANK" UNGRIA, JR. a native son of San Fabian, now working for the Archdiocese of Manila, and his team, composed of lay leaders coming from parishes who had also undergone the PREX Weekend. -more -

Youth Pilgrimages. In preparation for the celebration of the Archdiocesan Youth Day at the Mary Help of Christians Parish in Basista, Pangasinan on 21-24 April 2004, the Parish Youth Council of San Fabian has been holding a series of Youth Pilgrimages, a one day reflection and prayer for and by the youth. The Pilgrimage I was held last 21 February; Pilgrimage II on 14 March; Pilgrimage III on 21 March 2004. - top -

Holy Week. 5 April , Holy Monday. Stations of the Cross at the "Palandey". The first station was prayed at the Mabilao-Lipit Boundary. Succeeding Stations were found along the Lipit road going up to Inmalog Sur. A Mass was celebrated at the Lipit-Inmalog Sur boundary. More ->

16 May 2004, Sunday. The Santacruzan and the May Flower Festival were celebrated. The Catholic Women's League sponsored the festival. The CWL has been sponsoring the celebration for the past several years.

The coronation of the Reyna Elena and the Emperador Constantino was done before the 4;30 PM mass. The procession was held after the mass.

PREX Weekend seminars. The Parish of St Fabian has conducted the following PREX Weekends: Class 2: 23-25 April; Class 3: 2-4 July; Class 4: 3-5 September; Class 5: 22-24 October.

Archdiocesan Youth Day. 21-24 April. Mary Help of Christians Parish, Basista, Pangasinan. The youth of the Parish joined the youth of the Archdiocese in celebrating the 9th Archdiocesan Youth Day. At the end of the celebration, it was announced to the whole assembly that the Parish of St Fabian will host the 10th AYD 2005!

Youth Encounter Seminars. After undergoing the "KALAKBAY" program the youth leaders of the following Barangays had undergone the YE last 24-26 September: Longos Proper, Longos Central, Longos Paracparac, Cayanga and Lekp-Butao. After a month, on 29 -31 October, the youth leaders of Sagud Bahley, Nibaliw narvarte, Nibaliw Vidal, Nibaliw Center and Nibaliw East took the YE. YSY (Youth Serving Youth) was held for the Third and Fourth Year students of the Archdiocesan School of San Fabian last 19 October.

Family Rosary Month. The whole month of October was celebrated in the Parish as the Family Rosary Month. Everyday the Holy Rosary was prayed in the Parish Church as well as in the different barangays. A family led in the praying of the rosary everyday.

24 October, Sunday. The procession in honor of Mary of the Most Holy Rosary was held. Hundreds of devotees took part in the dawn procession which started at 5:00 am. The procession marked the ninth day of the Novena of the Most Holy Rosary. - top -

18 November, Thursday. The parishioners of the Parish of St. Fabian went to San Jacinto Parish, the host for this year's Vicariate III Christ the King celebration, to celebrate the Novena Mass in honor of Christ the King. San Fabian Parish was the sponsor of the eight day of the Novena. - top -

Fiesta of Mary of the Miraculous Medal. 27 November 2004.  Hundreds of San Fabian parishioners celebrated the feast of the "Virgen Milagrosa" with a dawn procession at 5:00 AM, followed by a mass and the praying of the culmination of the novena in her honor. The different "coros" brough their own images of our Lady for the procession adorned with flowers and beautiful lights. See pictures. To see a "panoramic view of the devotees, click here.

30 November 2004, Tuesday. Priestly Ordination of Rev. Jim Soriano Cerezo and Rev. Arvin Viray Soriano was celebrated at the St. John Metropolitan Cathedral, Dagupan City. Archbishop Oscar V. Cruz, DD was the Ordaining Prelate. --> full story.

5 December 2004, Sunday. The Grand Opening of the San Fabian BEC Enterprises. The various BEC cells of the parish have acquired a commercial stall in front of the Parish Church. The stall will serve as an outlet for the livelihood program products of the BECs. The SF-BEC Enterprises is selling religious books and articles, as well as various items from the different communities.

PREX Weekend, 10-12 December, Friday-Sunday. PREX Class No. 5 sponsored the 6th PREX Weekend with 21 participants. PREX class 5 was led by Mr. Gerald Gubatan as the Class coordinator and Mrs. Irene Libunao, as the Asst. Coordinator. The talks were given by Fr. Oliver and Fr. Jim Cerezo.

12 December, Sunday. Launching of the Archdiocesan Youth Day 2005. Hundreds of youth coming from all over the Archdiocese celebrated with the Parish Youth in launching the AYD 2005. A Mass was held at 8AM with Rev. Fr. Manuel S. Bravo, Jr., the Archdiocesan Apostolate Youth Director. (The Archbishop was not able to come due to some pressing matters). The LOGO of AYD 2005 was unveiled for the first time, and the Theme Song was also performed by the Parish Youth for the first time. A Parade around the major streets of San Fabian followed which ended at the San Fabian Sports Center where the program and activities were held. For more pictures, click here.

16-24 December 2004. Misa de Gallo. The Novena of the Feast of the Nativity was celebrated every 4:30 AM. The Archdiocese of Lingayen-Dagupan uged the faithful to reflect on the Fundaments of Social Transformation.

Fr. Allan Morris T. Abuan giving a Recollection27 December, Monday.  A Recollection for the PREX Graduates (1-6) and the members of the Catholic Charismatic community was held with Rev. Fr. Allan Morris T. Abuan as the Recollection Facilitator.

31 December, Friday. The Gift-Giving for the Poor. The Catholic Women's LeaCWL members distributing giftsgue (CWL) spearheaded the annual Gift-Giving to the many of the poor of the Parish. Other Religious Organizations, especially the Knights of Columbus, helped in the collecting and soliciting the clothes, canned goods, noodles and rice. The CWL was able to share Christmas joys to more than 700 families.
