ADMISSION POLICIES

Saint Catherine’s Academy welcomes for admission applicants for its Pre-Elementary and Grade School Department and applicants for first year and second year high school who have the capacity and willingness to be formed and educated according to the school’s vision-mission. The school reserves the right to refuse admission of any student if in its Judgment, such student cannot keep up with the Academic and moral ideals that the institution stands for.  All incoming students need to take and pass the classifying test, submit themselves for interview with the Guidance Counselor, and submit the required documents to the School Registrar. 

  1. REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR NEW STUDENTS

1.1. Photocopy of Birth Certificate (1 pc.)
1.2.  Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate (1 pc.)
1.3.  Photocopy of Confirmation Certificate (1pc.)
1.4.  Picture (2 x 2) 2 pcs.
1.5.  Big brown envelope with applicants name and the level applied for
1.6.  Application form duly filled up
1.7.  Original Copy of Report Card

   2. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALIEN STUDENTS

2.1.  A copy of alien certificate of registration
2.2.  Photocopy of students visa or passport
2.3.  Original copy of study permit issued by the DepEd

   3. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR NON-CATHOLICS

For non-Catholics, they must be willing to adhere to the rules and regulation of the school and respect the Catholic teachings and practices. A letter of agreement must signed both by the students and parents/guardians in his/her effect.

   4. ADDIONAL REQUIREMENTS FOR TRANSFEREES

4.1.  Satisfactory general average. (80 above)
4.2.  No failing grade in any subject
4.3.  Duly signed undertaking for probationary status (3 months)
4.4.  Certificate of Good moral character/ Honorable dismissal

REGISTRATION AND ENROLMENT PROCEDURES

Registration for returning Saint Catherine’s Academy students takes place during the months of January and February.  In early January, each student is given a registration form. The student signs an office form as proof that the form was issued. 

Completed registration forms and the registration fee must be returned to the school office no later than the announced deadline to be assured of a place in the following year’s class.

Only Registered Students shall be allowed to enroll.

The enrollment of registered students is scheduled during the months of April and May.  Each student must be accompanied by the parent/guardian during the enrolment process.  A student is considered enrolled upon completion of the following:

  1. Permit to enroll from the Office of the Registrar
  2. Submission of Required Documents
  3. Payment of the appropriate fees at the Business Office
  4. Photo session for the Identification Card
  5. Attendance to the individual orientation as scheduled
  6. Signing of Acknowledgment, Oath and Undertaking

Orientation sessions will be scheduled for ALL families before the start of the new Academic Year.  Procedures and regulations for the school year as well as class expectations will be discussed.  Parents will have the opportunity to meet with teachersEACH PARENT IS STRONGLY URGED TO ATTEND THE ANNUAL ORIENTATION.

SaintCatherineAcademy establishes an annual tuition schedule.  Once tuition is due and payable, there is no refund.  The school reserves the right to retain tuition due to early withdrawal.

SCHOOL FEES

Commitment to Catholic Education requires responsibility and obligation to pay off all required school fees.

Fees Structure:

  1. Tuition Fee – set by the School Board. It is used to pay staff salaries.
  2. Educational Fees – set by the School Board to cover other educational costs.
  3. Energy Fee – set by the School Board to pay electricity bills for the air-conditioning systems.
  4. Computer Fee – set the School Board for the maintenance and operation of the computer laboratory.
  5. Miscellaneous Fees – set by the School Board to cover other costs.
  6. Activity Fees – set by the School Board depending on the nature and requirements of the scheduled activity.

Payment of Fees:  All fees are payable through the Business Office. All accounts are asked to be settled during the enrolment dates. Parents may choose to make arrangements to pay by installments.However, Educational Fees and Miscellaneous Fees must be paid in full upon enrolment. Activity Fees may be paid one week before the activity.

Payment Options:

Option 1:  Full payment of the annual tuition, energy fee and computer fee that is due and payable no later than May 31. This payment is made directly to the Business Office.

 Option 2: First payment due and payable no later than May 31 and nine equal payments due and payable beginning July 1 with the last payment due no later than March 1. 

At the close of the school year, or any time a student is withdrawn from the school, all tuition and fees must be paid in full.  Report cards and student records will not be released until all accounts are cleared.
