CBCPWorld Marketing team makes a pitch at Regional Clergy retreat

IN a bid to promote the internet services of CBCPWorld, and CBCP Monitor and Impact Magazine, the Marketing Team went to Albay on November 11 to make a pitch to the participants of Regional retreat of Bicol clergy.
Held in Bethlehem Retreat Center in Bacacay, Tabaco, Albay, the one-week retreat, November 9-13, gathered bishops and priests from the Archdiocese of Caceres, and Dioceses of Legazpi, Sorsogon, Libmanan, Daet and Catanduanes.
Legazpi Bishop-Emeritus Jose Sorra encouraged the team to do the promotion of CBCPWorld and the publications to the clergy. The team ably discussed the objectives of CBCPWorld as well as the various services it renders to subscribers.
CBCPWorld presents services at Diocesan Treasurers’ Seminar

AT least 26 priests were given a 30-minute presentation of CBCPWorld’s Internet Service Package at the recently concluded Diocesan Treasurers Seminar last October 26, 2009 at the Pope Pius XII Center, Manila.
Ms. Laarni Bergado, CBCPWorld Marketing Head, together with Christian Costuya, Ernani Ramos and Gloria Fernando, spoke about the CBCPWorld and what it primarily does in and for the church.
A video presentation of CBCPWorld was shown to the priests-participants followed by a short open forum where some interested priests clarified particular points in the package deal.
CBCPWorld visits Divine Word College, Calapan

CALAPAN, known as the “Gateway to the Golden Isle” was visited by the CBCPWorld’s Marketing Team last July 13-17, 2009.
Most Rev. Warlito Cajandig cordially welcomed the Marketing Team and accommodated them in the Bishop’s house while the team went around the different catholic schools with a full 4-day itinerary.
The visit was intended primarily to promote the CBCPWorld’s Internet Connection Package to the School Directors and to pay a courtesy visit to its valued client, the Divine Word College-Calapan........
Benedict XVI surfs the web and uses email

THE president of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, shared that the Holy Father has an appreciation for new developments in technology and is comfortable surfing the internet and using email.
During an interview with the program “Studio Aperto” on the Italia 1 TV network, Archbishop Celli added, while the Pope doesn't have a personal email address, he “sends his own personal emails. He does! He has great appreciation for new technology.”
The archbishop explained that while the Pope “cannot respond to the millions of messages that arrive in his inbox,” he is committed to “offering his prayers for all who write to him.”......
